What's the difference between the MPEG and ASF formats? The MPEG files are much larger than the ASF versions, and are meant to be downloaded and viewed from your hard drive, while you can view the ASF files immediately.

How do I download the MPEG files? You can download the MPEG files either by right-clicking the thumbnail previews or the "MPEG" caption and selecting "Save As..." or "Save Target As..." from the pop-up menu, or by using a download manager, which is the recommended option.

What's a download manager? A download manager is a piece of software that allows you to pause and resume a download. Examples are GetRight and Go!Zilla. With them you can even stop a download and resume it the following day without any loss of data.

How do I play the streaming movies? Look for the symbol for streams suitable for dialup connections, and the symbol for streams suitable for faster broadband connections. Note the different text you see when you place the mouse cursor over the symbol.

What's the difference between dialup and broadband streams? The two streams use the same ASF format, but the broadband stream is higher quality. The stream you choose depends on the speed of your connection. You can still play the broadband stream if you have a dialup connection, but the stream will be slower.

Why are some of the movies censored? Mosaic or thin mosaic censoring is a legal requirement in Japan. Wherever possible movies using thin mosaic censoring are used, and uncensored movies are added whenever they become available.

Joining the MPEG and RealPlayer files

The MPEG movies can be joined together using the DOS copy command. For example:

copy /b /v foto-anna-ohura-1-1.mpg + foto-anna-ohura-1-2.mpg + foto-anna-ohura-1-3.mpg + foto-anna-ohura-1-4.mpg + foto-anna-ohura-1-5.mpg foto-anna-ohura-1.mpg

The text file should be saved as "foto-anna-ohura-1.bat" and will open a DOS window when run. The MPEG files are added together using "+" and the final file output is "foto-anna-ohura-1.mpg". To add more files, for example to add foto-anna-ohura-1-6.mpg, place + foto-anna-ohura-1-6.mpg after + foto-anna-ohura-1-5.mpg and before foto-anna-ohura-1.mpg.

The RealMedia movies can be streamed in sequence, but not joined. Create a text file that looks like this:
